FEATURES
As a cultural anchor in the community, the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature project entails a physical expansion and internal expansion of their programming to maximize the cultural and educational elements for visitors. The new additions and renovations will create inviting spaces that allow the museum to act as a living, moving and changing learning space. The expansion plans include a new STEM-based learning resource called the Mosaic Backyard Universe.
The Mosaic Backyard Universe new interactive exhibit will feature a replica of a backyard with a tree house and work stations for kids to participate in hands-on activities, such as making clouds or observing nature. The idea is to show the kids how much they can learn about science by exploring the outdoors and their own backyard.
