JOB SUMMARY

Fawley Bryant Architecture, a full-service architecture firm with offices in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a QAQC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecture or construction management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality in all project deliverables.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct thorough quality inspections and audits throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, including design, documentation, and construction phases.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive QAQC procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to identify and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Document and track all quality issues, deficiencies, and corrective actions, and communicate findings to project stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 25-30 years of relevant experience in architecture or construction management
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to commercial architecture.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing QAQC processes for complex construction projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies used in architectural design, documentation, and quality control.
