JOB SUMMARY Fawley Bryant Architecture, a full-service architecture firm with offices in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a BIM Technician. This person will work collaboratively in a mid-size team environment, performing design and technical production of documents in AutoCAD and BIM trough all phases of the projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop highly detailed and accurate architectural construction documents using industry leading software
- At a minimum set up and maintain Revit files for structural drawing sets, plan backgrounds and annotations, schedules, details, and general notes
- Translate and incorporate mark-ups into Revit drawings
- File and plot drawings
- Correctly label final working drawings and issued documents
- Support work of engineers. Update master schedules, details and general notes
- Complete tasks as dictated by the Production schedule
- Complete special projects as directed by Project Manager or Production Manager
- Assist in setting up and maintaining drawing standards
- Maintain project schedules
- Develop wall panel layouts and fabrication reports using proprietary software applications
- Develop cost efficient truss designs
- Work closely with Project Managers and Designers to create professional and accurate BIM models, layout drawings, framing elevations, and/or panel drawing packages
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM360
- Basic hand drawing skills
- Proficiency in Design, Problem Solving, Sustainable Design and emerging computer technologies
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with Photoshop and Sketchup software preferred
- Basic knowledge of architectural building systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years productions experience in design, drafting or engineering
