JOB SUMMARY

Fawley Bryant Architecture, a full-service architecture firm with locations in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida, is currently hiring for the role of architectural staff member. The ideal candidate will undertake a variety of assignments involving conventional architectural design for projects of moderate size and complexity.

Responsibilities include job site reviews, BIM drafting, and general office duties related to architecture, encompassing design, contract document production, and construction administration support. Additionally, duties will include contributing to the company’s overall objectives and goals, which may include a public presence and participation in community and marketing events, occasionally held outside regular work hours.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participates in the project from the conceptual phases all the way through to CA
  • Production and coordination of working drawings
  • Monitoring and distributing internal and external project communications as requested
  • Coordinate with all project teams throughout all the design phases
  • Collaborating with architectural and administrative team members within the office
  • Knowledge and application of current building, zoning, fire protection and jurisdictional code requirements
  • Acts as a liaison with Project Management as well as other architects/architectural staff and consultants
  • May occasionally act as Project Manager on a small job when deemed appropriate
  • Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments
  • Demonstrate an ability to work on multiple projects while meeting budget and schedule constraints
  • Flexibility to adjust and/or switch mindset when priorities change, or last-minute needs arise
  • Leads initiatives and activities that strengthen our culture, knowledge base, and capabilities

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proficient in REVIT
  • Exceptional design skills along with fluency in Adobe Suite, Sketchup and Enscape
  • Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate with others in a deadline driven environment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Architect
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Willingness to teach and learn
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and curious
  • Proactive attitude
